KURIKULUM CINTA DALAM PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM: STRATEGI MANAJERIAL UNTUK MENCETAK SANTRI BERINTEGRITAS DI ERA DIGITAL
Main Article Content
Abstract
The phenomenon of declining understanding of moral and ethical values among the younger generation, including santri has become increasingly evident in the digital era, where negative content and moral distractions are easily accessible. Traditional Islamic Religious Education (PAI) tends to emphasize cognitive and ritual aspects, making it less effective in developing students’ integrity and character. The research gap lies in the limited studies integrating a curriculum of love with managerial strategies in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) to address the challenges of the digital era. The research questions examined are: how is the curriculum of love implemented in the management of Islamic Religious Education in the digital era, and what impact does it have on the development of santri integrity? The novelty of this study lies in the development of a love-based PAI management strategy that emphasizes the internalization of values such as compassion, empathy, and social responsibility, rather than merely memorizing subject matter. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review as the primary data source, analyzed through descriptive-interpretive analysis. The findings indicate that the structured implementation of a curriculum of love enhances santri’ moral awareness, strengthens personal integrity, fosters positive social behavior, and serves as a mitigation strategy against the negative impacts of the digital era. The literature review supports these findings through theories of Islamic education, affective psychology, and value-based management models. The findings affirm that integrating a curriculum of love into PAI management strategies is not only theoretically relevant but also provides a transformative contribution to character education in modern pesantren. This integration enables the development of a generation of santri who are knowledgeable, religious, adaptive, and highly committed to integrity amid the challenges of the digital era.
