Pendampingan Penulisan Buku Sejarah sebagai Strategi Penguatan Kaderisasi dan Memori Organisasi

Abstract

The documentation of organizational history at the local level is often not conducted systematically, resulting in leadership dynamics and exemplary figures being preserved only in collective memory, as is the case with the leadership of the Tanfidziyah of MWCNU Kotaanyar, Probolinggo Regency, since 1954. Therefore, this community service activity aims to explore and document historical leadership data as the basis for compiling an organizational history book. This activity employs the Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) method with a partnership approach involving MWCNU administrators, autonomous bodies, affiliated institutions, and researchers in all stages of the process, conducted over a two- week period from 18 February to 7 March 2026 through data collection, in- depth interviews, discussions, and manuscript preparation. The results indicate that this mentoring program had a positive and significant impact in uncovering the leadership history of the Tanfidziyah of MWCNU Kotaanyar for the period 1954–2026, identifying eleven leadership periods that reflect exemplary da’wah practices and organizational contributions to the socio- religious life of the community, while also producing a draft manuscript ready for publication. The implications of this activity highlight the importance of strengthening historical documentation as part of the organization’s collective memory and as a strategic instrument for cadre development at the branch and sub-branch levels (PARNU) to ensure organizational sustainability in the futur
