Abstract

Entrepreneurship students have diverse business ideas, but not all have experience in systematically preparing business proposals. Initial conditions showed that only 3 of the 15 participants (20%) had previously prepared a business proposal, with an average pre-test score of 52.3. This condition indicates the need for training that integrates conceptual understanding with practical proposal development. This community service activity aimed to improve students’ knowledge and skills in preparing business proposals through experiential learning-based training. The activity was conducted through a one-day workshop consisting of a pre-test, material presentation, demonstration, proposal writing practice, mentoring, presentation, peer review, feedback, and post-test. The success of the activity was assessed based on improvements in knowledge scores and the quality of proposal drafts. The results showed that the average score increased from 52.3 to 78.6, representing a 50.3% increase. All 15 participants produced initial business proposal drafts with an average quality score of 3.6 out of 5 (good category). These results indicate that experiential learning-based training improved students’ initial knowledge and skills in preparing business proposals in an applied manner.
